Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) is a drought-tolerant perennial that is loved by bees and provides nectar for butterflies including monarchs. Gold finches can be seen snacking on the seeds in fall. Blooms circa June-September. Can grow to 3' in height, and prefers full or partial sun, and medium moisture.
